Description
Small animal veterinarians often are confronted with the problem of administering a continuous or uninterrupted IV drip to an unattended patient. The cephalic vein is easily occluded when an animal is in a sternal position with the elbow in flexion. The patented Cochran IV Splint is the first product that allows the animal to lie comfortably and still ensure a continuous IV flow. This IV splint will enable the practitioner to extend the patency and longevity of an IV catheter and administer a more continuous and even flow of IV fluids to critically ill patients.
